Job Description

Working within Assure, this role will report to the Finance Manager, LGC Assure.

Responsibilities
  • Ownership of overheads cost centre accounting (journal posting, P&L review, BS reconciliation). Co-ordination of monthly balance sheet review process.
  • Responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable collection and developing project plan to reduce AR turnover, collections and DSO.
  • Responsible for accurate and 5 business day month-end close.
  • Accountable for preparation of month-end financial reports and issuing to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all financial data in accounting system.
  • Reports, analyzes, and interprets financial, sales and operating data for management.
  • Prepares, reviews, and interprets data for inclusion in financial reports, statements, and summaries.
  • Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies, determines appropriate corrective action, and supports day-to-day operations.
  • Analyze and monitor monthly financial results against budget.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures and Accounting Standards.
  • Assists with the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting.
  • Participates in the execution of annual external audits.
  • Assists with related special projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Part qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA with at least 3 years experience in a similar role in a fast paced, commercial environment.
  • Strong business & commercial acumen and stakeholder management
  • Personable, with a strong commitment to team outcomes
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter. Able to get up to speed quickly and operate effectively in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Personally credible, taking responsibility and ownership
  • Organised and good attention to detail
  • Confident in basic to intermediate MS Excel techniques (pivot tables, VLUP, SUMIF etc)
  • Experience is using systems such as IFS, Business Objects & Tableau preferred but not essential.
