Castle Employment in Malton is seeking an Accountant to join a well established independent accountancy practice. You will own a portfolio of clients, manage work from start to finish, and provide accounts, VAT and tax support to ensure continued client success.

The role offers a hands-on environment with opportunities to develop, including ACCA study support, and a collaborative team culture within a close-knit practice.

Qualifications

• Previous UK accountancy practice experience is essential.
• Strong experience in statutory accounts, VAT returns and tax work.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Organised, proactive and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with tax compliance work.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
• Taking ownership of jobs from initial records through to completion.
• Providing practical advice and support to owner managed businesses.
• Working closely with senior management to deliver excellent client service.
• Supporting the continued growth of the practice through high quality client delivery.

With a loyal and growing client base, the firm offers a varied role across accounts, tax and VAT, providing the opportunity to work closely with clients and play an important part in the continued success of the practice.
