Job summary

A cultural office in London seeks an experienced Accountant to manage financial tasks, including monthly allowances and payments. Responsibilities

  • Manage student's monthly and ongoing weekly allowances.
  • Post financial information into the accounting system.
  • Preparation of student's cheques and BACS payment.
  • Communicate with other departments within the office.
  • Respond to financial queries from sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Prepare statements of accounts.
  • Reconcile sponsor's bank accounts.
  • Month end reporting of expenditure.
  • Assist with annual budget setting.
  • File documents and perform ad hoc requests.

Skills

Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent inter-personal skills

Education

BSc degree in accounting/finance preferably from a UK University
Postgraduate degree or professional qualification (AAT/ACCA)

Accountant | London, SW1X | Full Time |9am-5pm Monday to Friday| £36,000 a year

Qualifications
  • BSc degree in accounting/ finance preferably from a UK University
  • Post graduate degree or professional qualification (AAT/ACCA) will be an advantage
  • Relevant work experience in the UK is preferable
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft office suite
  • Knowledge of financial applications such as Sage 200 is preferred
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate across all levels
  • Full Right to Work in the UK
  • Please note: Sponsorship is not available for this role and it is not suitable for Graduate Visa holders
