Job summary

Autograph Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Account Manager in a part-time role to oversee a client portfolio, ensuring high-quality service across accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and compliance.

You will work across two local offices with some travel between sites, contributing to long-term stability and flexible hours while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of three years' post-qualified experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns, payroll, self-assessment, and limited company accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Prepare management accounts, year-end accounts, and financial reports.
• Complete bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and maintain accounting records.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns per HMRC requirements.
• Support payroll processing where needed.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with year-end compliance and liaise with senior colleagues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a main point of contact.
• Assist clients with accounting software and day-to-day finance queries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and client service.
