Job description
The Role and What You’ll Do:

The Account Manager will play a critical role in a 160/90 team working for a major client on their Global Partnerships portfolio. You will be working with an international business operating in multiple markets which has interest in Motorsport, Golf, Sailing and Cricket, among others. Your role will be primarily focused on Sailing and Motorsport, but will touch all elements of the partnerships.

The Account Manager will form part of the Partnerships function across the client account and work collaboratively within an integrated client team including Communications, Creative and Strategy that spans 160over90’s various international offices.

You will:
  • Form a key part of the 160over90 team delivering Partnerships and Guest Management services within region

  • Collaborate with client’s agency network and lead on the implementation of a seamless and integrated activation strategy that brings the client’s sports partnerships to life

  • Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with key client stakeholders in order to ensure the smooth running of the portfolio

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with rightsholders, ambassadors, third party agencies and other associated stakeholders to ensure the trust and reputation of the client and 160over90 are maintained and strengthened

  • Build, manage and execute guest management and hospitality plans for best-in-class partnerships and guest management delivery at key events and moments within the portfolio

  • Map and plan against available partnership assets, and associated rights and benefits, to support the development of partnership strategy and maximize asset usage for the client in the region

  • Act as part of the on-the-ground guest management team to deliver at events where agency staff is needed

  • Work closely with 160over90’s comms team to develop integrated creative and tactical strategies which bring to life the client’s partnerships and tell key business stories

  • Draft and oversee activation plan documents, wrap reports and other related client-facing documents with meticulous attention to detail

  • Work with client and agency partners to create sport partnership content, incentives and opportunities for purposes of internal communication and employee engagement

  • Maintain robust evaluation and reporting practices to measure sport partnerships communications performance

You Have These:
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant agency, client-based experience across Sports Partnerships

  • Specific experience in activating sport partnerships; working closely with rights holders

  • Knowledge and expertise across a variety of sports

  • Expertise on Microsoft Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

We’d Love If You Also Have These:
  • Knowledge of SailGP or competitive sailing

  • Understanding of broader motorsports

  • Understanding of how to build a client relationship and understand their business needs

  • Understanding of Guest Management and Hospitality programmes

  • Strong writing and grammar skills with an ability to draft short project plans

  • Ability to effectively delegate whilst demonstrating clear and concise upward reporting

  • Strong knowledge and network within the sports partnership and sponsorship landscapes

  • Natural communication skills to work within a dynamic agency team

  • Ability to offer creative ideas that deliver best-in-class partnership activation

  • Organized and detail oriented in a fast-paced, client service environment

  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices

  • Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to navigate project management and guest management systems
