Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in London is seeking an Account Manager - Legal to drive the growth of their Legal Sector client portfolio. This role involves managing existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering impactful campaigns. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and experience in client services or business development. The position offers a hybrid work model and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in account management, client services, recruitment marketing, or business development is preferred.
  • Proven Quota Attainment across both customer acquisition and growth is ideal.
  • Knowledge of the Legal Sector and/or Early Careers is a plus.

Description

About this role

The role will drive the new business growth of GTI's Legal Sector client portfolio collaborating closely with the Legal Sector Lead and cross-functional teams in sales, research, and marketing.

The person will support leading global law firms and barristers chambers in engaging and attracting diverse talent through innovative digital campaigns, high impact events, and research partnerships.

Key Metrics
  • Establish contact with c.35 solicitor firms we currently don't work with
  • Create commercial opportunities with twenty solicitor firms and ten barristers Chambers who have either recently lapsed, or we have never worked with, within the first six months
  • Acquire at least five new solicitor firms in the first six months.
  • Take overall ownership for our relationships with the barristers sector in all commercial aspects, leading to double digit growth in bookings YoY.
  • Drive double digit growth in bookings value within a predefined list of existing solicitor firms
Outcomes

Customer relationships are strengthened and grown.

  • Manage and expand relationships with existing law firm clients in partnership with the Legal Sector Lead.
  • Build strong relationship with both existing and net new barristers Chambers
  • Build strong connections with graduate recruitment, marketing, and EDI teams at law firms.
  • Support contract renewals and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and delivery.
Business development and market growth is continuously driven.
  • Identify and qualify new business prospects through research, networking, and outreach.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, pitch preparation, and securing new opportunities.
  • Work on projects that expand GTI's client reach and develop new business opportunities.
Impactful campaigns and operational excellence are successfully delivered.
  • Help deliver annual campaigns, events, and marketing activations across GTI platforms (e.g. targetjobs, Cibyl, and events such as Festival of Law).
  • Liaise internally with marketing, events, and delivery teams to ensure smooth execution of client campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Zoho) and track key performance metrics to measure success.
Person Specification

This role is ideal for someone early in their commercial career who thrives on building relationships, problem-solving, and delivering results.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a genuine interest in clients' goals
  • Organised and commercially aware, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Enthusiastic about Early Careers and the legal sector - with a curiosity to learn about market trends and client needs

Work Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Other Information
  • Permanent role - 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm.
  • 3-month probationary period.
