Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated and relationship driven Account Manager to manage, retain, and grow our Government customer base internationally.

This role focuses on nurturing long term partnerships, ensuring customers derive maximum value from the Windward platform, driving renewals, and identifying expansion opportunities within existing government accounts.

The ideal candidate is proactive, customer centric, commercially sharp, and experienced in working with government, defense, law enforcement, customs and intelligence organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government customers across EMEA and RoW.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust based relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers, and operational users.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure customer satisfaction, value realisation, and long term retention.
  • Lead renewal processes and ensure timely contract execution.
  • Identify Upsell and Cross sell opportunities aligned with customer needs and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Solution Engineers, and Product teams to execute growth initiatives.
  • Develop tailored account plans and long term engagement strategies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer missions, operations, and workflows.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable solutions leveraging Windward’s portfolio.
  • Independently conduct product demos (online and in person) to showcase features and value.
  • Ensure customer onboarding, adoption, and ongoing engagement in collaboration with cross functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline updates, and account data in CRM.
  • Support contract discussions, commercial structuring, and negotiation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies, and government procurement requirements.
  • Represent Windward in customer meetings, workshops, and events across the region.
Requirements
  • Over 4 years of experience in sales, account management roles (preferably in SaaS or technology).
  • Must have experience working with public sector, defense, maritime, customs, intelligence, or law enforcement organisations .
  • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholders and driving renewals and account growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills at all levels including senior leadership.
  • Highly independent, organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to handle negotiation processes.
  • Comfortable working across multiple cultures and geographies in EMEA / RoW.
  • Fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Available for heavy travel across the region as needed.
