This position reports to

Sales Manager R&A


Your role and responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and manage the account strategy focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  2. Coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and resolve specific customer problems.
  3. Improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations as part of the ABB Business Line Industry sales strategy.
  4. Develop, plan, and execute customer strategies based on local/global strategies to ensure high customer satisfaction and growth.
  5. Sell products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, mainly supporting End Users in the UK, with a focus on developing new and existing customers.
  6. Negotiate specifications and pricing with customers, maintaining maximum margins, and prepare quotes supported by the CRM (SalesForce).
  7. Participate in developing sales strategies for accounts through current business and long-term plans.
  8. Set and ensure achievement of sales targets through structured follow-up.
  9. Understand customer needs and communicate ABB's solutions effectively.
  10. Monitor client financial status and report risks to internal teams.
  11. Identify and manage risks related to contracts and pricing across customers and segments.
  12. Work towards personal, team, and behavioral targets aligned with ABB's 4Cs: Collaboration, Curiosity, Courage, and Care.
  13. Maintain high engagement levels with customers and partners as part of the ABB QCE program.
  14. Ensure integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.

Qualifications for the role

  • Team player
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales role
  • Proven track record in sales; experience with automation products is a major advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current UK driving license
  • This is a home-based role requiring travel
