The Account Manager plays a key role in developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with strategically important clients. This position is accountable for achieving sales targets, meeting strategic account goals, and supporting the continued growth. You will represent the full range of the organisation's products and services to both new and existing customers, while ensuring that client needs and expectations are consistently met. The role also involves supporting commercial strategies aimed at improving profitability and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Achieve or exceed targets for sales volume, profitability, and strategic account objectives.
  • Proactively assess and respond to client needs, ensuring continuous alignment with business goals.
  • Lead the development of tailored solutions that best address customer requirements, coordinating input from all relevant teams and departments.
  • Take ownership of assigned strategic accounts, ensuring achievement of agreed quotas and financial objectives.
  • Deliver comprehensive account plans that meet organisational standards and support overall business strategy.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention through excellent service delivery.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets in designated markets.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with clients by providing exceptional after-sales support and fostering mutual trust.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline by exploring opportunities within existing markets and targeting new areas for growth.
  • Use creative and strategic approaches to generate new sources of profitable business.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all sales reporting and documentation.
  • Produce and deliver high-quality sales proposals, tender documents, and presentations in line with corporate standards.
Qualifications
  • We are seeking driven and experienced Account Manager.
  • Proven experience in a sales or account management position, ideally within the construction, electrical, data, or fibre sectors.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with professionals at all levels, from operational staff to senior executives.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working on consultant-led and/or contractor-led service models.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Planning and Organisation
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Capable of maintaining accurate and up-to-date records as required by the role.
  • Demonstrates initiative in identifying and resolving routine problems in collaboration with management.
