We’re looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our growing Life Sciences portfolio at HPCi Media. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with niche B2B clients across media, digital, and event platforms — helping them connect with the audiences that matter.

You’ll work across two key titles:

Cleanroom Technology – the leading source of cleanroom news, insight and innovation

Manufacturing Chemist – covering pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulation and R&D

HPCi Media, one of the UK’s leading privately owned multi-platform B2B media companies, is looking for an experienced B2B Media Sales Professional to join our dynamic, target achieving team. Our digital platforms, printed publications and awards are internationally recognised and are essential reading and networking for the B2B Supply Chain in the beauty and cosmetic markets.

Having enjoyed steady growth since 2008, we are now looking to add to our sales team. Based just a short walk from London Bridge Station and Borough Market, the role will play a critical part in the future success of the company so we are seeking talented, motivated sales professionals with a proven track record in B2B media sales and the ability to drive profitable revenues from both new prospects and existing clients.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, candidates should ideally have a Media Sales background, (but not essential) with experience of international client management. In addition, you should be confident and able to travel to both our own well-respected events and other trade events to countries such as New York, Frankfurt, Malaysia, Singapore etc.

Whilst the roles come with a database of existing client accounts that we would expect you to build strong relationships with, it also entails a high degree of new business development which is generated through outbound activity. We have an extensive database of contacts in our CRM system as well a strong following on social media to source leads from. In addition to our existing contacts, you will also be expected to source your own leads through outbound prospecting, cold call/emails and networking at live events. Around a third of sales activity will be to existing customers, with the remaining two thirds spent developing new client relationships.

To succeed in this fast‑paced environment you should be confident, with a likeable personality and a high attention to detail when it comes to client campaign management and administration. You will be part of a small but highly successful team that thrives on team collaboration, so supporting each other is a key ingredient.

Qualifications
  • Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in B2B Media Sales
  • Demonstrable success in B2B sales with experience of live events
  • Experience of international media sales
  • Proven & consistent track record of success in overachieving targets
  • Demonstrate a history of winning and retaining new business
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand customer needs and recommend correct and timely advertising solutions
  • Ensure that customer experience and service sits at the forefront of your approach and style.
  • Consistently achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI's and revenue targets.
  • Administer and support customer campaigns and reporting information
  • Keep accurate records on the in-house CRM system
  • Ensure a pipeline of opportunities is created through targeted outreach prospecting, ensuring that new business targets are met on a regular basis.
  • Work alongside and develop a close working relationship with other departments within the business.
Manage and grow existing Accounts
  • Consistently promote the portfolio of products as the first choice for advertisers and marketers across our respective industries
  • Represent HPCi Media as a brand ambassador at meetings and trade events.
  • Become a recognised and trusted expert in marketing solutions and be aware of client history, key industry personalities and media competitors
  • Ensure that all beneficial products are presented to the prospect and are clearly defined on the sales proposal for consideration.
