Job description
Account Manager

Location: Maidenhead (Hybrid - 2-3 days from home)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000 pr annum + up to 30% performance-based bonus

Reporting to: Head of Partnerships

The Role

We're looking for a commercially minded and proactive Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of Farewill's most important commercial partners. These partnerships span a wide range of organisations, including insurance providers, price comparison platforms, financial advisers and other consumer-facing businesses that support people at key life moments.

This is a hands‑on, outcomes-focused role where you'll strengthen relationships, improve performance and unlock growth across existing partners. You'll bring clarity, energy and commercial judgement to how we work together, ensuring each partnership reaches its full potential.

You'll sit at the intersection of relationship management, strategy and execution. One day you might be running a performance review with a senior stakeholder at an insurance partner; the next you could be sharpening our proposition or testing new ways to drive engagement across adviser networks.

You'll have real autonomy, real accountability and a direct line of sight between your work and Farewill's growth. Within 12 months, we expect this area of the business to double in size.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high‑value commercial partners, acting as their primary point of contact
  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with partner stakeholders, including senior decision‑makers
  • Take full commercial ownership of partner performance, with clear goals around growth, engagement and retention
  • Use data and insight to understand performance drivers, identify opportunities and prioritise actions
  • Lead regular partner reviews, translating performance into clear recommendations and next steps
  • Design and deliver tailored plans to improve results – from increasing engagement to improving conversion or expanding partnership scope
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Operations and Compliance to enhance partner and customer experience
  • Identify opportunities to test new ideas, improve processes and evolve how partnerships operate as we scale
  • Lead onboarding for new partners, ensuring a smooth launch and strong foundations for long‑term success

This role rewards people who take ownership, move with urgency and care deeply about doing things well.

What Success Looks Like
  • Within your first 12 months, you will have built strong, credible relationships across your partner portfolio
  • Increased the commercial value of your accounts through smarter execution and expansion
  • Helped shape how Farewill measures, manages and grows commercial partnerships
What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who has moved beyond entry‑level account management and is ready for more ownership and impact.

You are likely to have:

  • Experience in account management, customer success or partnerships
  • A track record of growing or materially improving existing accounts
  • Confidence working with numbers, performance data and commercial targets
  • Experience operating in a customer‑first or trust‑based environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility quickly

You don't need prior experience in wills, legacies or the specific sectors – curiosity, judgement and drive matter far more.

How You Work

You are someone who:

  • Takes responsibility and follows things through
  • Is comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys figuring things out
  • Balances empathy with commercial clarity
  • Is motivated by doing work that genuinely matters
Why Join Farewill
  • Real ownership of meaningful, high‑impact partnerships
  • Clear accountability and room to grow with the role
  • A product people genuinely care about
  • The chance to help shape how one of the UK's most trusted consumer brands grows
About Farewill

Farewill is on a mission to change the way the world deals with death. We make writing a will simple, affordable and meaningful. Since launching in 2016, we've become the UK's largest will writer and helped customers pledge over £1.3 billion to charities through gifts in wills.

Our partnerships help people do one of the most important things they will ever do: put their wishes in writing and take care of the people and causes they love. This role exists to take ownership of those relationships and turn potential into consistent performance.

What We Offer

Annual salary of £40,000 + up to 30% performance-based bonus

  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • BUPA Healthcare (Self)
  • X2 Life Assurance
  • Pension Scheme
  • Hybrid flexible working (2 days in our Maidenhead office)
