Job description

Our Team: Consumer & Lifestyle

We are a team of 13 dynamic, creative and warm-hearted PR professionals. We channel our curiosity into creative ideas that capture attention, build brand love and deliver business results. With award-winning client work in brand campaigns, product PR, influencer relations and thought leadership, our ambition is to grow our creative firepower and work with global household brands in the UK and globally in tandem with our 40+ offices around the world.

The Role

This is a role for someone who is digitally native, culturally curious and genuinely passionate about sport and the brands that surround it.

As Account Manager, you will be an active day-to-day lead across a portfolio of dynamic consumer accounts spanning the sports betting and gaming sector, men’s lifestyle and fashion retail, and food and drink brands. You will manage client relationships with confidence, oversee social media programmes, and work closely with senior team members to develop and deliver creative campaigns that earn coverage, build audiences and drive results.

Reporting to Account Supervisors and Vice Presidents, you will be joining a team in an exciting period of growth, with real scope to develop your skills across new sectors and take on increasing responsibility as the practice expands.

The Account Manager will work primarily across three areas:

  • A global fresh produce brand with a growing UK presence, where the role involves gradually taking ownership of social media management and supporting broader consumer PR activity.
  • Two leading UK sports betting and gaming brands, where the role requires strong knowledge of football and wider sports culture, and the ability to develop reactive, culturally relevant content and PR at pace.
  • A men’s lifestyle and fashion e-commerce brand, supporting consumer PR, influencer activity and editorial media relations for a brand with a loyal and growing UK audience.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and cultivate relationship with the client and external audiences.
  • Oversee day-to-day client projects and/or events to ensure the quality of work meets client’s objective and does so in a manner that provides value.
  • Assist in the management of account administration duties such as billing and financial reporting.
  • Recommend and implement initiatives that improve the public’s perception of the client.
  • Oversee all aspects of major events for client.
  • Handle special media inquiries.
  • Review materials (e.g., pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters) prepared by Senior Account Executives, Account Executives or Assistant Account Executives.
  • Develop tailored staff development plans for junior staff working under their supervision.
  • Develop materials on complex issues (e.g., Q&As, speeches, collateral materials).
  • Develop, pitch and place positive stories by and about the client in appropriate business, trade and consumer media.
  • Cultivate positive client presence in all media through releases, contact and responsiveness to inquiries/requests.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communications between the client and account team consistently providing strategic advice and counsel.
  • Partner with client and other communications firms (i.e., ad agencies) to develop and complete communications plan.
  • Research, assist and present new business proposals.
  • Develop original research, surveys, and market studies for existing and new business proposals.
  • Develop complete communications plans for clients.
