Overview

Account Manager

Location: Amersham (office, field & hybrid work)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Up to £45k basic + commission

Hours: 40 per week

Holidays: 26 days + bank holidays

A leading name in the fire and security industry is looking for an Account Manager to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in security system sales or maintenance contracts who enjoys working closely with clients and helping to grow key accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts while building long-term relationships.
  • Visit customer sites to understand their needs and prepare accurate quotations.
  • Follow up on quotes and ensure all proposals meet technical and commercial standards.
  • Work closely with estimating and project teams to deliver excellent service.
  • Identify new business opportunities through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Keep client records, sales forecasts, and activity reports up to date.
  • Introduce new clients to the business and represent the company professionally in meetings.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Experience in account management or sales within the fire or security industry.
  • Strong communication skills and a confident, client-facing approach.
  • Good commercial awareness and experience with quoting or estimating.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage your own workload.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across London, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and surrounding areas.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and pass security screening (BS7858).
