Field Based Account Manager
Report to Industry Sales Manager
The Field-Based Account Manager will hold full sales and budget responsibility for a defined product portfolio within the Oil & Gas sector. The role focuses on managing, retaining, and growing business opportunities while building strong, long-term relationships with key customers across the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively promote and sell company products and services to new and existing customers.
 
- Consistently achieve and exceed defined sales and profitability targets.
 
- Maintain up-to-date customer information, opportunities, and activities within the CRM system.
 
- Manage the sales pipeline to ensure alignment with business objectives and forecasts.
 
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to support customer projects and deliver high-quality solutions.
 
- Work with marketing and account management colleagues to identify opportunities and align business strategies.
 
- Keep long-term, consultative relationships with key decision-makers across customer organisations.
 
- Work as part of a regional sales team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to achieve collective goals.
 
- Participate in internal and external meetings as required to ensure alignment and effective communication.
 
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a technical or engineering discipline.
 
- Proven experience in technical solution sales, ideally within industrial or safety-related markets.
 
- Strong understanding of business-to-business sales processes and industry standards or regulations.
 
- Strong interpersonal ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
 
- Highly organised, self‑motivated, and driven to deliver results.
