A boutique public affairs consultancy is seeking an experienced Account Director to join its small, growing team. The ideal candidate will be a confident and capable manager with a solid understanding of politics, public affairs, and the built environment, able to oversee multiple client projects simultaneously and provide strategic counsel at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients at a strategic level, ensuring objectives are met across multiple projects.
  • Lead the curation and execution of creative and strategic ideas.
  • Manage client consultations and stakeholder engagement confidently throughout project lifecycles.
  • Take ownership of developing new business proposals and responding to briefs.
  • Build and demonstrate strong sector knowledge, particularly across housing, sport, and education.
  • Provide both proactive and reactive counsel to clients on public affairs and political issues.
  • Ensure best practice across all accounts, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues through effective line management and on-the-job training.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in public affairs or communications, ideally with exposure to the built environment sector.
  • Strong understanding of the UK political and stakeholder landscape.
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and client management skills.
