Job description

Job Context: ESDO works for environmental protection and conservation of nature, focusing on a toxic‑free world. ESDO has been working with initiated environmental studies, media communication, and policy advocacy to stop plastic pollution, Lead‑free Paint, mercury‑free dentistry, Mercury Phase‑out, sustainable chemical management, and an approach towards Zero waste and Sustainable Environmental livelihood, in addition to adaptation and mitigation of climate change impacts. ESDO's ecovillage and ecotourism project approach is exciting for gaining new knowledge of management initiatives. ESDO works with relevant partners in Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Kenya.

Responsibilities
  • Regular updates, periodical review and maintaining books of accounts.
  • Prepare fund transfer requests and cash flow management for the project.
  • Make timely payments to vendors, consultants, and salaries to the staff.
  • Assist in the statutory audit and audit of financial reports to donors share a periodical report on audit observations and queries and take necessary action.
  • Prepare periodical internal and external financial reports (monthly, quarterly, half‑yearly and year‑end procedures).
  • Maintain spreadsheets showing spending against budget, monitor, analysis and present periodical control reports.
  • Manage tasks related to administration, documentation, resources management, and government affairs.
  • Manage admin relating to programme operations, meetings, training, and events.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to staff and visitor travel, including visas, tickets, transfer/fleet arrangements, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Plan and arrange meetings, workshops and training courses, seminars, obtaining permits and authorization as assigned.
