A dedicated NHS Trust in Castle Donington seeks a consultant for the Adult Critical Care Co-ordination and Transfer service. Responsibilities include triage, clinical supervision, teaching, and ensuring quality improvement. The ideal candidate will have a medical degree and experience in critical care. This role offers a minimum 2.0 PA contract, and candidates should possess exemplary leadership skills.
The Adult Critical Care Co-ordination and Transfer service (ACCOTS) is the dedicated, commissioned Adult Critical Care Transfer service for the Midlands Region. We are hosted by two acute Trusts (University Hospital of Leicester within the East Midlands and University Hospitals of Birmingham within the West Midlands).
ACCOTS provide consultant led triage, decision support and co-ordination of all referrals and patients who require or are likely to require specialist critical care escort, intensive monitoring, organ support and/or specialist treatment are within our scope. We undertake transfers for escalation of care (including time critical and urgent), repatriation, continuation of care and capacity reasons.
Our Mission statement is "To deliver the highest standards of compassionate critical care to patients undergoing transfer within and from the Midlands Region".
We pride ourselves on being responsive and caring whilst delivering high standards as well as looking after our people.
We are looking to build a substantive medical team of consultants with a minimum 2.0 PA contract (in extenuating circumstances, we may be able to consider less). SPA will be paid pro-rata.
Our new strategy, developed with support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).
We have four primary goals: high-quality care for all, being a great place to work, partnerships for impact, and research and education excellence.
We will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our values: we are compassionate, we are proud, we are inclusive, and we are one team.
