Overview

The Adult Critical Care Co-ordination and Transfer service (ACCOTS) is the dedicated, commissioned Adult Critical Care Transfer service for the Midlands Region. We are hosted by two acute Trusts (University Hospital of Leicester within the East Midlands and University Hospitals of Birmingham within the West Midlands).

ACCOTS provide consultant led triage, decision support and co-ordination of all referrals and patients who require or are likely to require specialist critical care escort, intensive monitoring, organ support and/or specialist treatment are within our scope. We undertake transfers for escalation of care (including time critical and urgent), repatriation, continuation of care and capacity reasons.

Our Mission statement is "To deliver the highest standards of compassionate critical care to patients undergoing transfer within and from the Midlands Region".

Qualifications & Contract

We are looking to build a substantive medical team of consultants with a minimum 2.0 PA contract (in extenuating circumstances, we may be able to consider less). SPA will be paid pro-rata.
