A local authority in Rochdale is seeking an Accommodation Support Worker to join their Family Temporary Accommodation service. The role focuses on managing temporary placements and supporting residents towards independence. We’re Hiring: 1x 30 hour position in our Family Temporary Accommodation service.
This role focuses on supporting families in our Temporary Accommodation Services. The service has recently undergone changes, resulting in a vacancy for an Accommodation Support Worker. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our vision of delivering excellent housing services and sustainable homes for residents across the Borough.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of a temporary accommodation placement and will also support people to maintain their homes, become more independent and ready to sustain a general needs tenancy.
You will be working closely with residents who may need support with attending appointments, substance misuse, poor mental health, maximising income and budgeting, accessing health services and educational placements, among others. You will also adopt our Early Help Practice standards when supporting family households, which builds on our holistic working approach.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to our residents by managing their accommodation, support, and, ultimately, their move to more sustainable accommodation.
