Job summary

A health care trust in Enniskillen is seeking a Clerical Officer for a temporary position lasting 6 months. You will provide administrative support to the Access to Healthcare Manager and liaise with various departments regarding access to healthcare. The ideal candidate will possess 5 GCSEs including English Language and Mathematics, alongside strong organizational and communication skills. The role offers a rate of £12.31 per hour and requires 50 hours of work per week.

The Role

The Jobholder will provide administrative support to the Access to Healthcare Manager and will liaise with individual departments, external bodies in relation to access to healthcare and the recovery of funds from paying/private patients.

General Responsibilities
  • Support processes in to the recovery of funds from Private Patients and Non UK Residents receiving treatment from the hospital.
  • Support administrative requirements of all activity relating to Private Patient, Overseas Visitors and Non UK Residents visiting the Trust's hospitals, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed.
  • Support the administration process of collecting the European Health Insurance (EHIC) from patients from Europe by liaising with A&E department, outpatient clinics and staff and patients at ward level.
  • Assist in maintaining a system for managing private patient insurance forms.
  • Assist in the safe custody of monies received as deposits from Private Patients, and the provision of the appropriate documentation for final accounts.

Hours of Work
  • 50hrs per week - Monday to Friday 0900-1700
Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent/higher qualification AND 1 years' experience in a clerical/administrative role

OR

3 years' experience in a clerical/administrative role

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and Excel

Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for the use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criterion will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
