Job summary

A regional health board in Wales is seeking a candidate to support the Access to Health Records Service. You will process subject access requests and ensure compliance with data protection legislation, including GDPR. Overview

An exciting opportunity to support the Access to Health Records Service for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This role is key to ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and the Access to Health Records Act 1990.

Responsibilities
  • Process subject access requests for patient records, ensuring statutory timescales are met.
  • Locate, extract and scan patient records in a timely manner under the supervision of the Access to Health Records Support Manager.
  • Escalate delays and maintain high quality service with a degree of autonomy.
  • Act as the first point of contact within the Health Board and support case handlers to manage requests from start to finish.
Qualifications
  • Good understanding of Data Protection and GDPR legislation.
  • Experience working in a related field is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and process‑driven skills.
  • Welsh language skills desirable but not essential.
