Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is seeking an experienced Access Lead to support delivery across client sites in the UK. You will manage access arrangements, outages, RAMS, job packs and documentation while providing day-to-day team leadership and coaching to the administrative team.

Access Lead

Location: Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey, Warrington, WA5

Contract Type: Full-time

Role Overview

United Infrastructure is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-focused Access Lead to support and coordinate operational delivery across multiple client sites. This role is central to ensuring that access arrangements, outage requests, job packs, purchase order requests, and project documentation are managed accurately and efficiently. In addition to completing key administrative and coordination duties, the successful candidate will provide day-to-day team leadership, acting as a first point of support for colleagues, helping prioritise workloads, maintaining process standards, and ensuring clear communication between internal teams, field engineers, suppliers, and client representatives to support safe, compliant, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the access and outage administration team, helping to coordinate workload, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Raise internal purchase order requests in line with project and operational requirements.
  • Submit, track, and follow up on resource requests, ensuring progress is visible and any delays that impact KPI’s are escalated appropriately.
  • Monitor team task progress, ensuring agreed actions are completed on time and any risks, delays, or blockers are escalated promptly.
  • Download, review, and organise existing site information and documentation from client portals and shared systems.
  • Create and maintain structured site folders, ensuring documents are stored accurately, consistently, and remain up to date.
  • Set and maintain consistent standards for document control, folder structures, data accuracy, and administrative processes across the team.
  • Coordinate site access arrangements via email, phone, and portal systems, ensuring all required permissions and approvals are obtained.
  • Act as a first point of escalation for access, outage, portal, or documentation queries, supporting the team in resolving issues efficiently.
  • Maintain working relationships with 3rd Party Site Providers
  • Raise client purchase order cover requests to support planned and reactive operational activity.
  • Create, compile, and issue job packs, ensuring they include all required documentation, drawings, scope details, access information, and health and safety requirements.
  • Raise, monitor, and close outage requests, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed and all outage activity is logged accurately.
  • Prepare, review, and submit RAMS documentation in line with company and client requirements.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and informal mentoring to team members, supporting continuous improvement and consistent ways of working.
  • Support the wider project and operational teams with administrative coordination, document control, timely communication, and effective team coordination.
Working Pattern
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Standard working hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Hybrid working pattern: 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
Essential Skills And Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, document control, or project support role.
  • Previous experience supporting, coordinating, or leading a small administrative, operational, or project support team.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, internal teams, suppliers, and field engineers.
  • Ability to prioritise team workloads, delegate tasks appropriately, and maintain visibility of progress against deadlines.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office applications, shared drives, portals, and document management systems.
  • High attention to detail, with accurate data entry, document control, and record keeping skills.
  • Able to identify process gaps, support continuous improvement, and encourage consistent standards across the team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
Desirable Skills And Experience
  • Experience working within telecoms, utilities, infrastructure, construction, or facilities management.
  • Experience coordinating site access, outages, permits, RAMS, or job packs.
  • Familiarity with client portals, workflow systems, or structured project documentation processes.
  • Experience providing first-line guidance, coaching, or mentoring to colleagues within a busy operational environment.
