A community service organization in Glasgow is seeking admin volunteers to support its Access Hub. The role involves tasks such as data recording, answering phones, and providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates should be empathetic, flexible, and enjoy working with diverse individuals. Commitment of four hours per week is required. The Access Hub is open 9-5, 7 days a week and we're currently looking for admin volunteers for afternoon shifts.
Our team provided over 24,000 face-to-face supports to around 3,000 individuals the first year it opened, in September 2020. People respond really well to the space and the environment we have created, it’s a very welcome space to be and that impacts on everyone who comes through the door. The additional help from our valuable volunteers can, and does, make a real difference.
Successful Access Hub Admin Volunteers will:
We welcome volunteers to stay with us and continue to help us make a difference in people’s lives. 12 months would be the ideal minimum but we respect your time and commitments elsewhere. For this role we ask for a minimum of four hours per week or fortnight. We've found that volunteers committing to a regular slot works best for both the service and the volunteer – and makes rota planning easier. Our recruitment follows the Safer Recruitment process, which means giving consideration to safeguarding arrangements at every step. We will ask you to attend an informal interview, provide us with two references and attend our Mini IMPACT training – a shortened version of our dynamic 5-day staff programme.
