A leading nuclear engineering organization in the UK seeks an experienced Acceptance & Commissioning Manager. This role involves leading the planning and development of commissioning strategies while collaborating across teams to ensure compliance with operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of technical experience in a nuclear-regulated environment and will be responsible for driving acceptance and commissioning efforts. This hybrid position allows for a dynamic work environment contributing to significant engineering projects.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced individual to lead on the planning & management of the acceptance & commissioning strategies. Working within the Client team, the Acceptance & Commissioning Manager (ACM) will work with (1) the Programme Commissioning Manger to lead the planning, initiation and development of the commissioning strategy for the Programme and (2) the Readiness & Acceptance Planner to ensure the DLoDs and performance statements are measured & met; ensuring a timely and efficient transition from current concept design into operational use.
During the design phases this role will ensure all systems and equipment are designed to meet operational, regulatory and customer requirements. The ACM will collaborate with the design teams, contractors and stakeholders to integrate commissioning requirements into the design ensuring a smooth transition into the construction and handover phases.
This role will initially be working independently to develop the acceptance & commissioning strategy at scheme design phase. As the Programme matures, the commissioning team will be expanded with the relevant SQEP members, under the management of the ACM who will retain responsibility for this aspect of the Programme.
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
