Summary

Wage

£17,000 – £19,000 per year (depending on qualifications and experience).

Data technician (level 3)

Hours & Schedule
  • Monday – Friday, 39 hours per week, shifts to be confirmed.
  • Start date: Monday 2 February 2026
  • Duration: 1 year 6 months

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Software (Sage Intact) implementation project team member – possible lead for dashboard/report creation.
  • Developing into the accounts lead for smaller entities within the Group.
  • Processing all entries for these companies.
  • Core data entry and reconciliations (bank/Sales and Purchase ledgers).
  • Ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Fixed Asset accounting and maintaining registers.
  • Journal entries and reconciliations (part of month‑end work).
  • Support for Group numbers – related party/group matrix at month‑end.
What You’ll Learn
  • Select, migrate, format, and combine data from multiple sources.
  • Summarise, analyse and explain gathered data.
  • Identify trends and patterns using basic statistical methods.
  • Cleanse data to improve quality (gaps, duplicates, outliers).
  • Audit data results to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and traceability.
  • Communicate findings appropriately and produce clear documentation.
  • Store, manage and distribute data in compliance with standards and legislation.
  • Consider sustainability impacts such as cloud storage and reducing physical handouts.
  • Collaborate effectively with others and prioritise activities within the role.
  • Follow equity, diversity and inclusion policies.
Training Schedule
  • Eight modules of technical training integrated with work‑based projects.
  • Industry‑tailored programme combining data skills with core accountancy knowledge.
  • Develop technical skills and analytical ability to inform business decisions.
Essential Qualifications
