A leading fire service organization in Exeter is seeking an Academy Support Technician to provide logistical support for training events and manage equipment maintenance. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary starting at £26,824 per annum. Ideal candidates will have good driving skills and be able to work as part of a team. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, the largest non-metropolitan Fire and Rescue Service in England, is on the lookout for an Academy Support Technician to join our Technical Rescue training delivery team. The role is based at our Service Headquarters in Exeter. This is a permanent, full-time position (37 hours per week) that offers a competitive salary starting at £26,824, rising annually to £28,598 per annum.
As an Academy Support Technician, you will provide logistical support to the Training Rescue Function as part of the Service Training Academy and undertake general preparation of training scenarios and support during training exercises. You will undertake maintenance of equipment, and will also be expected to be able to drive, including the use of trailers.
