Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist Exeter Hospital | Physiology | Permanent contract | Full time Starting Salary £27,000.00 per annum 40 hours per week

Main duties of the job
  • Join our multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Complete our in‑house three‑week training course.
  • Help promote health and fitness as part of our holistic health service.
  • Deliver health assessments that support health and wellbeing goals.
  • Support prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Be passionate and caring, putting client needs first.
  • Complete our award‑winning preceptorship programme during the first 12 months.
About us

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including theatres, a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory, an endoscopy suite, inpatient and day‑case wards, a pathology department and a busy outpatient department.

Job responsibilities

As an Academy Physiologist, you will deliver health assessments, support health and wellbeing goals, and contribute to prevention, rehabilitation and recovery services. The role is mobile within the region of your base site and will involve attending a training camp in January 2026. The minimum requirement is a 2:2 Sport and Exercise Science degree (or equivalent). You should have studied human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition, and be able to apply this knowledge in practice.
