Job summary

A well-known healthcare organization in the City of London is seeking a dedicated Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist. In this full-time role, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver health assessments and promote health and fitness. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Sport and Exercise Science or equivalent, alongside a strong knowledge of physiology. The position offers a starting salary of £27,250.00 per annum with a full training program included.

Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist Surbiton FWC | Physiology | Permanent contract | Full time
Starting Salary £27,250.00 per annum 40 hours per week

Main duties of the job

As an Academy Physiologist, you will:

  • Join our multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals
  • Complete our in‑house three‑week training course
  • Help promote health and fitness as part of our holistic, comprehensive health service
  • Deliver health assessments that support health and wellbeing goals
  • Support prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery
  • Be passionate and caring in the service you provide, putting client's needs first
  • Complete our award‑winning preceptorship programme during your first 12 months in the role
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2:2 Sport and Exercise Science degree or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition
  • Ability to apply this knowledge in practice
Experience
  • Coursework or experience that demonstrates practical application of exercise science principles
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting is desirable
