A local educational institution in Bradford-on-Avon is seeking an Academy Finance Assistant to enhance its Finance Team. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records and support financial operations, assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with standards. Candidates must have previous accounting/bookkeeping experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in ICT tools like Excel and Word. This role offers 27.5 hours per week during term time, emphasizing professional development and a supportive work environment.
An opportunity has arisen to join our busy Finance Team as an Academy Finance Assistant to assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the Academy’s financial systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Academy’s financial system operations. They will also assist with day‑to‑day accounting tasks and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience within a commercial or public sector financial environment is required. A relevant financial professional qualification is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a “can do” attitude are prerequisites. Office administration experience and ICT skills (Excel and Word) are essential.
27.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time plus 5 days). Start date is as early as possible after appointment.
