The Opportunity

By integrating Bridewell's Managed Security Services with focused training in all areas of Security Operations, the Bridewell Academy equips candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's cyber security landscape. This holistic approach not only enhances academic offerings but also prepares candidates for successful careers in this critical field, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle evolving cyber threats.

In the first three months of the Bridewell Academy, you will undergo comprehensive onboarding, where you’ll meet your manager and assigned buddy, who will guide you through the initial stages of your journey. During this time, you’ll gain exposure to our Security and Compliance team, allowing you to familiarise yourself and gain a better understanding of Cyber Security. Alongside this, you work towards completing the GCTI - GFACT Threat Intelligence Qualification and partake in MAD20 Mitre Attack Training. These all further strengthening your skills in cyber intelligence.

Following the initial onboarding, your journey will be either structured into two rotations, one lasting 12 months and the other lasting 6 months in which you will get the opportunity to work in different areas such as our SOC team, Content Development, Incident Response or Offensive Security.

Rotation 1 will focus on the role of a CTI Analyst during the first nine months, allowing you to dive deep into cyber threat intelligence enhancing your practical skills in a critical area of cyber security.

Rotation 2 will offer you the opportunity to choose from six different teams, giving you the flexibility to explore various aspects of cyber security that align with your interests and career goals during the next nine months.

At the conclusion of each rotation, you will have the opportunity to create and deliver a project highlighting the key experiences you’ve gained, your successes, and any challenges you faced. This presentation will also include constructive feedback on how we can enhance the experience for future participants. This structured approach not only fosters your professional growth but also contributes to the continuous improvement of our training programs.

  • A degree in Cyber Security, equivalent qualification or completion of a Cyber Security-focused training course or bootcamp
  • Minimum grade of 4/C in GCSE English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Three A-levels or five Highers (or equivalent)

No work experience is needed this is an entry-level position; we are looking for someone that will show potential for these roles through their transferable skills. Confidence, relationship building, and a self-starter mentality are all welcome- alongside a huge eagerness to learn!

Responsibilities
  • Open CTI - Understand how to use and leverage OpenCTI including data entry.
  • Attack Surface Monitoring and Digital Risk - Understand how to triage, investigate, and elevate attack surface monitoring alerts following standard operating procedures.
  • Attack Surface Monitoring and Digital Risk - Understands when to query and raise alerts internally when encountering challenging, high severity, or uncommon alerts.
  • Feedly - Understands how to access Feedly and review AI rules and Feeds for relevant articles and events. Understand how to produce threat notifications, advisories, and reports based on relevant Feedly articles. Understand how to build key word and entity lists in Feedly to enhance AI rules.
  • CTI Mailbox - Actively monitor the CTI mailbox for new client requests, raises and communicates planner tasks to relevant persons in the team.
  • CTI Products - Understand and supports the collection, analysis, production, and disemination of finished Bridewell CTI products.
  • CTI Planner - manages all assigned tasks in a timely manner, creates new tasks when needed and contributes on stand-up calls.
  • MSR / QSR Delivery - Supports data collection and stat generation for MSR/QSR decks. Supports trend analysis and commentary generation for QSR / MSR decks.

Location

Bridewell operates a hybrid and flexible working policy, however you be required to travel to different sites on occasion, in particular our Cardiff office.
