Job summary

Bristol City Football Club is seeking an Academy Coach for the u15/16s squad to help deliver the coaching curriculum and nurture young players within the Academy. You will plan sessions, observe and provide feedback, and manage welfare and safeguarding as a core duty.

The role requires UEFA B Licence, FA Youth Award and proven experience in an Academy environment, with a focus on developing players for professional football and coordinating with staff for holistic player growth.

Qualifications

• UEFA B Licence required and FA Youth Award desirable.
• Experience developing players within an Academy environment.
• Understanding of how to progress players toward professional football.
• Ability to work in a team, lead when needed, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver coaching sessions aligned with the club philosophy and curriculum.
• On match days, plan, observe, and provide feedback on player performance.
• Record player data on The Kitman Labs Intelligence Platform.
• Safeguarding and welfare of players must be maintained at all times.
• Support talent identification and perform admin tasks such as fixtures and records.
• Conduct six weekly player reviews.
• Carry out player/parent reviews following EPPP guidelines.
• Foster multidisciplinary communication for player well-being and development.

Job description

We are looking for a committed and exceptional person to join us as an Academy Coach within our u15/16s team:

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for planning and delivering coaching sessions that follow the club philosophy and deliver the coaching curriculum programme for your respective age.
• Responsible for your age group on match day, including to plan, observe and provide feedback regarding individual player performance.
• To evaluate players from coaching sessions and matches and ensure that the relevant information is recorded fully on The Kitman Labs Intelligence Platform.
• Ensuring that Players’ welfare and safeguarding is always protected.
• Contributing to the talent identification process where appropriate. Undertaking administrative tasks related to the role, including fixture programming, record keeping and database input.
• To conduct 6 weekly player reviews.
• To carry out player/parent reviews in line with EPPP guidelines.
• Ensure multi-disciplinary communication to ensure the well-being and holistic development of the Academy players.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
