Job description
How the role will make an impact:

Oversee the daily test lab operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and equipment maintenance is organised. Manage the Certification/Testing plan for UK Brands at the Wolverhampton and Carlisle sites. Define the strategy around in‑house testing and external testing.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the complete testing plan & budget for UK Brands (ERA & Zoo Hardware).
  • Monitor and audit existing certification processes and procedures to define strategy around in‑house testing & external testing, ensuring testing services are optimised and safety, compliance and regulatory requirements are met, ensuring products meet relevant industry standards, regulations and compliance requirements throughout their lifecycle.
  • Manage the compliance/certification testing process for new and existing product ranges, providing relevant requirements guidance and scope from project conception and throughout product approvals, to ongoing surveillance and maintenance of accreditations, implementing new programs, testing procedures, methodologies and laboratory equipment.
  • Manage the overall certification of all relevant products within ERA & Zoo product ranges, including where necessary mirror certification for 3rd parties.
  • Develop & maintain competencies within the testing team to ensure delivery around daily operations, testing scheduling and quote and report generation.
  • Maintain accurate records of lab activities, interpret data, and prepare reports on lab performance and results for management.
  • Develop and manage the laboratory budget, procure necessary supplies and equipment, and oversee plant inventory.
Key Skills:
  • Proven experience within the hardware industry with a testing & certification background.
  • Bachelor's degree desirable.
