BSAVA is seeking an Academic Tutor for a part-time, permanent, remote UK-based position. You will support the delivery of our Postgraduate Certificate programmes in Small Animal Medicine and provide learner-focused feedback to veterinary surgeons.

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced veterinary surgeon with a passion for small animal medicine and postgraduate education to join our Continuing Education (CE) team as an Academic Tutor. The role will support the delivery and ongoing development of our Postgraduate Certificate (PGC) programmes with a primary focus on the Small Animal Medicine postgraduate certificate, helping us deliver high-quality, evidence-led online education for veterinary surgeons.
You’ll join a small, supportive and collaborative team committed to delivering excellent postgraduate education. This is a remote UK-based role working 10 hours per week, with some flexibility around when the hours are worked, although occasional evening work may be required.

You’ll be comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively in a remote setting, while also enjoying being part of a small, collaborative team. You’ll be a clear and confident communicator who can build positive working relationships remotely, and someone who is honest, dependable and supportive of colleagues. An organised, solutions-focused approach, together with adaptability and a willingness to learn new systems and ways of working, would also be an advantage.
