Responsibilities
  • The University’s Disability and Learning Support Team are recruiting Academic Support Workers to support and/or take notes for students in their lectures and seminars. This role also includes acting as a reader and/or scribe for students in exams.
  • We are currently seeking to recruit Academic Support Workers to support students across a wide range of courses and disciplines at each of our 3 Brighton campuses.
  • As a casual post, this role may suit those who are interested in taking on work around their studies and other commitments. The rate of pay is circa £20.68 per teaching hour which is inclusive of any time that might be required to format/tidy notes.
  • While there is often a high demand for the service, we cannot guarantee that sessions or exams needing support will always be available.
