Contract: Full-time, permanent, term time only

Aston Education is looking for an Academic Support Officer (Alternative Provision) for an Ofsted Good 11-16 secondary school in Lambeth, South London.

The Academic Support Officer plays a key role in supporting students at the Alternative Provision. This role ensures students have access to the full curriculum, promotes positive behaviour, and supports reintegration into mainstream education.

Responsibilities
  • Support students\' literacy, numeracy, and core skills on KS3 and KS4.
  • Maintain behaviour systems and create a positive learning environment.
  • Implement strategies to remove barriers to student achievement.
  • Track student attendance and performance, identifying underachievement and implementing interventions.
  • Safeguard students\' health, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with parents and external agencies.
