Job summary

Bradford College is seeking an Academic Coach to join our Science and Digital department. You will identify and support students to achieve their expected target grade and provide literacy, numeracy and academic skill interventions to remove barriers to learning.

This is a part-time role, 15 hours per week, with responsibilities including setting SMART targets, coordinating support, monitoring progress and reporting outcomes, and supporting students not following a normal timetable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in 1:1 and group settings.
• Experience coordinating intervention for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART targets to support student achievement.
• Referral to other support services as appropriate.
• Contribute to student progression and career plans.
• Coordinate support and intervention strategies for groups of students.
• Manage supervision of students not on a normal timetable.
• Monitor progress against action plans and provide feedback.
• Carry out administrative tasks and maintain records (including EBS).
• Provide initial classroom supervision in short-notice absences.
