Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Glasgow is seeking an AC Engineer to perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Trane Units and AC Split Systems. The role involves identifying risks, improving equipment performance, and coordinating with the client via the BMS system to ensure a comfortable environment.

The position is Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with on-call duties after training. Progression and upskilling opportunities are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in HVAC maintenance.
• F-Gas City & Guilds qualification.
• Recognized or time-served apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including critical spares and environment control via BMS.
• Maintain environment conditions on site by using new equipment and performing reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Fault finding on HVAC equipment with a focus on VRV/VRF systems and refrigerant handling.
• Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team.
• Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to resolve Building Services issues.

About Us

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an AC Engineer to join our team in Glasgow!

The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance to both Trane Units and AC Split Systems.

The Role

• Identify and manage the risks to the client through the equipment on site, including identifying critical spares, improving performance of equipment, managing the environment conditions on site through the BMS system and running all equipment efficiently, improving and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
• Using new equipment and technologies to maintain a working and comfortable environment liaising with the client on any requests for certain reactive and PPM tasks.
• Fault finding on all types of HVAC equipment with a bias to the maintenance of Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems. Working with refrigerant and having the necessary qualifications in the handling of F-Gas.
• Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team.
• Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to manage any Building Services related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required.
