Job summary

BCL Legal Limited, Lancashire-based, is seeking a Solicitor / Associate to join its Insurance team in the Abuse & Social Care practice. Hybrid: Available. Salary competitive and commensurate with experience.

The role involves managing your own caseload of Social Services and Abuse matters, advising clients strategically, and representing them through negotiation, mediation, and litigation where needed.

Solicitor / Associate - Insurance (Abuse & Social Care)

A well-established Legal 500 firm with a strong presence across the North is looking to recruit a Solicitor / Associate to join its Insurance team, specifically within its Abuse & Social Care practice.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Social Care Solicitor to join a well-established team handling a varied and complex caseload, with the opportunity to work closely with Senior Associates and Partners and take on increasing responsibility.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of Social Services and Abuse matters, providing strategic legal advice and acting for clients through negotiation, mediation and litigation where required.

About You

The firm is looking for a qualified Solicitor or CILEX with 4+ years' PQE and a strong background in Social Care / Social Services work.

• Solid experience handling your own Social Care / Social Services caseload.
• Strong knowledge of the Social Care sector.
• Experience with advocacy and attending court / tribunals.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality legal documentation.
• Experience supervising or supporting junior team members would be advantageous.
• An interest in business development and developing client relationships would also be beneficial.

Location
