Job description

Kepak is one of Europe's leading food producers, is seeking a Knife Skills Operative to join our team at our Bodmin site. As a Knife Skills Operative, your role will be essential in ensuring that our meat products are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Use knives and other equipment to prepare and process meat products according to production specifications particularly being able to break jaws trim pluck's and trim a wide range of offal products.
  • Ensure that meat products are cut and trimmed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Keep work area clean and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Meet production goals and work as a team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Properly store and handle meat products to prevent waste and spoilage.
  • Perform quality inspections on meat products to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Continuously learn and improve knowledge of knife skills and meat processing techniques.
  • The ability to work at height (Training Given)

You will start work at 06:30 in the morning and work until production is finished, Monday to Friday with weekends off. This role offers a full time contract based on 45 hrs per week any hours worked over the 45 will be paid at time & quarter of your hourly rate. You will have 2 x 30 min breaks per day.

Depending on your experience you will start on £12.94 per hour, this can increase the more you learn and develop. With the top earning potential being £19.94 per hour.
