Job summary

Total Employment in Norwich is seeking an experienced AAT-qualified accountant to join their growing practice. You will handle bookkeeping, VAT, year-end accounts and self assessment for a mix of clients including sole traders and small companies.

Based fully in the office, the role offers real stability in a long-established firm with broad exposure across accounting and tax duties and opportunities to build breadth across the spectrum.

Job description

A well established firm of chartered accountants in Norwich is looking for an AAT qualified accountant to join their growing team. They've been serving Norfolk businesses since the 1960's, so there's real stability here, but the work itself is anything but stale.

You’ll be handling bookkeeping, VAT, year end accounts and self assessment tax returns for a mix of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Sole traders one morning, a manufacturing business the next. Plenty of room to build breadth across the full accounting and tax spectrum.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing client bookkeeping on cloud accounting software
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Year end accounts across a range of client types and sectors
• Self assessment tax returns
• Ad hoc work with the wider accounts and tax team
• Keeping everything accurate and on deadline
