Job summary

Bluestones Medical Nursing Agency is actively recruiting experienced A&E nurses to work within the Emergency Department at Southport Hospital. This agency role offers flexible days and nights with competitive pay and the chance to work in a busy hospital setting.

Successful candidates will provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergency medical conditions, while maintaining patient dignity and safe practice.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent and relevant experience in A&E or equivalent acute setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency nursing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Right to work in the UK and satisfactory compliance checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to patients in A&E.
• Assess, monitor and manage patients with urgent and emergency conditions.
• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and prioritise care.
• Recognise and respond promptly to deteriorating conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments per clinical guidelines.
• Carry out clinical procedures within your scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Provide effective handovers to colleagues and healthcare professionals.
