A Local NHS Trust in Lancashire seeks a dedicated individual to provide frontline support to staff and patients. The role involves liaising with patient flow teams and ensuring confidentiality. Ideal candidates are physically fit, have strong communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to customer care. Flexibility is essential in this busy department, covering shifts mainly on weekends.
To provide and maintain a flexible, dedicated, comprehensive frontline support service to the staff and patients and provide a support service to other departments of the Trust. This involves undertaking a wide range of duties including moving and handling that enable the clinical and non-clinical departments to function effectively., The post holder will liaise with the Trusts 'Patient Flow Team' and Senior Facilities Manager to provide a first port of contact as part of the emergency care transfer portering team.
Each member of the Trust's staff is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of any information relating to patients and for complying with all the requirements of the Data Protection Act whilst carrying out the duties of the post. Any breaches in confidentiality will be dealt with by the Trust Disciplinary Procedure and may result in dismissal.
Carry out any requirements within the duties applicable to the Data Protection Act, 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Applicants must be physically fit, have good communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Self-motivation, commitment to customer care and quality issues is essential.
Flexibility is required in this busy department to cover Annual Leave and Sickness.
15 hours per week - Saturday and Sunday (1pm till 9pm)
