"Step up your clinical skills- join our Emergency Operations Centre Clinical team and shape urgent and emergency care from the first call."

We're looking for experienced and compassionate clinicians to join our Clinical team in the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC). This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our "virtual care" model -- providing remote clinical assessment, triage and advice to ensure patients get the right care at the right time.

Main duties of the job

Provide remote clinical assessments, onwards referrals or home management advice using clinical decision support software and other IT systems for patients presenting to the 999 service.

Support and coach Emergency Medical Advisors (EMAs) and dispatch teams within the EOC (Ambulance resource dispatch teams).

Clinically assess, prioritise and manage incidents to ensure patient safety and appropriate allocation of resources.

Communicate effectively with patients, carers, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals, using negotiation skills as required to coordinate the best care and facilitate referrals as appropriate.

Act as a point of clinical leadership and decision-making within the EOC, including safeguarding and capacity/consent decisions.
