Overview

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling Psychologists to join our Training & Partnerships Team in Psychological Services, led by the Deputy Clinical Director. The team is responsible for training delivery to staff, building links with partner organisations, and the CAP Masters programme. The role offers an opportunity to develop a career in training in Clinical Psychology & the psychological professions, contributing to the Masters level training for CAPs, including design and delivery of teaching and assessment, supervision, monitoring and support of learners, liaison with practice placement supervisors, and governance contributions to the programme.

For the lecturing part of the role, we seek staff with expertise across psychological assessment and therapies, mental health, physical health, learning disabilities and related areas across the adult and older adult range. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of teaching, lecturing, research and supervision and a desire to develop skills in clinical training.

Responsibilities
  • Part-time role that can fit alongside a clinical or another training role; job share or full-time arrangements may be possible with related clinical opportunities.
  • Design and delivery of teaching and assessment for the CAP Masters programme.
  • supervision, monitoring and support of individual learners; liaison with practice placement supervisors; governance contributions to the programme.
  • Deliver online and in-person teaching; travel to Epping for in-person delivery as required with flexible working options.
  • Support CPD for staff; opportunities to gain qualifications in learning and teaching or dual accreditation in a specialist area; potential leadership development and research activity via the appraisal process.
  • Engage with regional universities and networks for research collaborations, teaching, and placement experience.
  • Opportunities for appointments to preceptorship in a band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologist and Clinical Lecturer role for those not yet meeting band 8a criteria.
