7.5-Ton Driver – Bulk Uplift Crew

Pertemps are currently recruiting 7.5‑ton Drivers to join our client’s Bulk Uplift Team in Edinburgh East. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll support vital environmental services by collecting bulky household items and helping keep local communities clean and safe.

Location: Edinburgh East

Hours: 4 days on / 4 days off – 06:00 to 17:02 (45‑minute break)

Pay: £14.02 – £15.68 per hour

Duration: Temporary – ongoing work

What You’ll Be Doing

• Driving a 7.5‑ton vehicle as part of the bulk uplift service
• Collecting bulky household items (furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc.)
• Working with the crew to safely lift, load, and remove items from properties
• Following planned routes and schedules efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
• Interacting with the public professionally when required
• Maintaining excellent safety standards at all times
• Street cleansing duties are required, such as litter picking, sweeping, removing weeds and leaves etc.

What You’ll Need

• Physical fitness – regular lifting and manual handling is part of the role
