Job summary

Driver Hire Blackburn is seeking an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to deliver plastic underground piping and related products from Blackburn. This day work role uses a flatbed vehicle with around six drops per day and a focus on load security and safe handling.

The candidate should have a valid 7.5 Tonne / Category C1 licence with prior 7.5T experience, and a professional approach to loading, securement, and customer service. Licence checks will be part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne / Category C1 licence.
• Previous 7.5T driving experience.
• Experience with flatbed vehicles would be beneficial.
• Good understanding of load security and strapping.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work independently.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 7.5 tonne flatbed vehicle.
• Delivering plastic underground piping and industrial products.
• Completing approximately 6 deliveries per day.
• Loading and unloading goods safely.
• Securing loads correctly using straps.
• Checking loads before leaving site.
• Delivering to customers, businesses and various delivery locations.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
• Completing delivery paperwork when required.
• Providing a professional service to customers.
• Following all relevant road safety and transport regulations.
