Job summary

People Solutions is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client in Southampton. The role offers excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, full training, and the potential for permanent employment with a leading logistics company.

The position suits candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 driver and includes duties such as delivering heavy goods to homes, manual handling with a mate, and ensuring accurate records and customer service at each delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C or C1 Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 3 months HGV Class 2 experience.
• Flexible weekend availability.
• Ability to carry out manual handling.
• Willingness to undergo DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop home deliveries with Driver's Mate.
• Deliver heavy goods and appliances to customers’ homes.
• Carry out manual handling safely as part of a two-person team.
• Plan delivery routes and complete deliveries efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Maintain delivery paperwork and Tachograph records.
• Provide excellent customer service at each location.
• Follow road transport legislation and procedures.
