Job summary

DX Freight is seeking a multi-drop delivery driver to provide excellent service, delivering products to customer premises and handling freight with care. You will represent the company professionally and ensure all products are scanned, loaded safely, and delivered on time across a defined route.

Applicants must hold a C1 license with valid DQC and Tacho card, have a maximum of 6 points, and no bans. Salaries start at £34,715 with annual increments of £1,000 after 6 and 12 months of service,

Qualifications

• Must hold C1 or above on license with valid DQC and Tacho card.
• Maximum of 6 points on license and no bans.

• Ability to build a rapport with customers.

Responsibilities

• Represent DX in a professional manner at all times.
• Drive vehicles safely and legally, complying with all requirements.
• Complete daily checks and report defects with paperwork.
• Scan products using DX scanning equipment.
• Load deliveries safely before leaving the depot.
• Adhere to DX procedures and policies at all times.
• Plan routing to achieve premium and timed deliveries.
• Use correct PPE and keep equipment in good order.
• Report delivery/road issues to traffic office promptly.
• Ensure customers receive deliveries in excellent condition.
• Handle customer issues politely and effectively.
• Make collections in line with given instructions and times.

Job description

Starting on £34,715 you will increase £1,000 each time after completing 6 and 12 months of service to £36,715 per annum

Role summary:

To deliver customers' products to the required premises ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi-drop delivery route. The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers' premises, treating their freight as if it were their own

Key responsibilities

• Represent DX in a professional manner at all times
• Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements at all times
• All daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork completed
• Ensure all product are scanned using DX scanning equipment
• Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the depot
• Observe DX procedures and policies at all times
• Manage your routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved
• Ensure the correct equipment and PPE, (personal protective equipment) is in good order and used at all times
• Ensure all delivery and on road issues are reported to the traffic office immediately
• Ensure the customer receives their deliveries in excellent condition every time
• Deal with any customer issues in a polite and effective manner
• Ensure collections are made in line with given instructions and times
