Job description

Location: Robinson Way Depot, Telford Way Industrial Estate, Kettering, NN16 8PP

Client: North Northamptonshire Council

Pay Rate: £16.35 PAYE / £20.79 Umbrella

Overtime: 1.5x rate for anything over 37 hours

Hours: 37 hours per week

Job Type: Temporary – Vacant Post Cover

Working Pattern: Tuesday to Friday (4-day week) with optional overtime on Mondays

Shift: 6:30am – 4:30pm

Start Date: 24th November 2025

End Date: 16th January 2026

The Role

• Driving a 7.5 tonne food pod vehicle on assigned routes
• Loading and emptying food pods as part of daily operations
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Reporting defects and issues promptly
• Working safely at all times in line with council procedures
• Supporting wider fleet operations when required

Essential Requirements

• Valid 7.5T licence (C1) – HGV drivers also considered
• DVLA web check required
• Right to Work in the UK
• CV required
• Willingness to assist with physical loading
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• No DBS required for this role.
