Job summary

DPD UK is hiring a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our Lincoln team. You will drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle along local routes, handle deliveries with a focus on accuracy, and use Saturn handheld devices to track progress.

We value professionalism, a customer‑facing mindset, and physical fitness for loading duties. This full‑time role operates Monday through Friday with shift windows starting at 07:00.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience handling 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Physically active and able to handle lifting as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes, ensuring safe and efficient deliveries.
• Navigate using Saturn handheld devices to manage deliveries and progress.
• Be the friendly face to customers, providing good service and a positive experience.
• Load and unload parcels using appropriate equipment.

The Role

We’re looking for someone to take the wheel and own a designated local route. You aren’t just moving boxes; you’re the final boss of the delivery game, ensuring every parcel hits its destination with 10/10 service. With around 40 - 50 stops a day, you’ll be the ultimate problem-solver, navigating your community and making life easier for our customers.Your role is vital in providing a service that genuinely makes a difference to our customers.

• Drive the Vibe: Get behind the wheel of a 7.5 Tonne vehicle. You’ll be cruising local routes, keeping it safe, professional, and efficient.
• Master the Tech: No paper maps here. You’ll use our industry-leading Saturn handheld devices. It’s basically your mission control for tracking progress, managing deliveries, and staying ahead of the game.
• The Main Character Energy: You’re the friendly face our customers see every day. Whether it’s a quick "hello" or a helpful drop‑off, your energy defines the DPD experience.
• The Hustle: You’ll be loading and unloading parcels, using high-end gear like sack barrows and hand trucks to handle the heavy lifting safely. Think of it as a paid workout while you're on the move.
