Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Wolverhampton is seeking a skilled machinist to operate 5-axis centres and machine complex aluminium and stainless fabrications. You will assist with setting up and proving out programs, and perform dimensional checks to verify drawings and operation sheets.

Experience with Doosan, Mazak or Matsuura machines, Renishaw probing, and PC-DMIS is advantageous. Night shifts are required with a 30% shift allowance and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and running 5-axis machine centres.
• Machining aluminium and stainless fabrications.
• Able to interpret drawings and operation sheets.
• Knowledge of Renishaw probing and CMM techniques.
• Familiarity with Doosan, Mazak or Matsuura machines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate 5-axis machine centres and machine aluminium/stainless fabrications.
• Set up and prove out programs with engineers.
• Carry out dimensional checks against drawings and op sheets.
• Support and manage tooling to meet tolerances.
